DR. JASON RILEY

Background:

My family relocated to Old Fields, WV when I was three, and I was fortunate enough to grow up on a working cattle and poultry farm there. Though I may not have appreciated it at the time, I gained both a respect for life and strong work ethic that farm work often gives a person. Also, the close community where my family lived and worked made me appreciate and value the strength and moral character of the residents of our small town.

I then decided to pursue my medical education. I attended medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. I sought a medical education that focused on approaching patients by treating their minds, bodies and spirits. After medical school, I furthered my training through a urology residency at Charleston Area Medical Center. My training focused on all aspects of urology including kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, BPH among other medical conditions.

In addition, I have experience in treating kidney cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer through minimally invasive techniques such as robotic assisted laparoscopy.

I returned to the area for two reasons. I value the high quality urologic care which Urology Associates provides. Secondly, my wife, an internal medicine physician, and I appreciate raising our two children in an area where both the land and people are beautiful. My family and I are excited to be part of this community and I am honored to serve its members.
